A Gastronomic Adventure in Iloilo: Ramboy’s Lechonan & Restaurant

We kicked off our Iloilo adventure with what we love most—food! Syempre, food is always the highlight of any trip, and what better way to start than by indulging in Iloilo’s culinary treasures? As a UNESCO City of Gastronomy, Iloilo is home to some of the best local dishes, and we couldn’t wait to explore. We dined at Ramboy’s Lechonan & Restaurant for our late lunch, visiting their branch near Molo Church. Famous for its crispy lechon liempo and Filipino classics, this location adds to their growing list of well-loved spots.

Our Feast at Ramboy’s

From the first bite—susme!—we knew we were in for a treat. The crispy skin and juicy, flavorful meat of their lechon liempo were just too good to resist. But Ramboy’s isn’t just about their famous liempo; they have an extensive menu featuring sizzling dishes, noodles, soups, and other all-time Filipino favorites. Whether you’re dining solo or with a group, they’ve got food bundles that make every meal more satisfying.

For our meal, we chose the Salo Salo C bundle, which included lechon liempo, sotanghon guisado, chopsuey, and sinigang na isda. Even though I’m not usually a fan of fish, their sinigang was a pleasant surprise—hindi malansa, kaya super nagustuhan ko! Every dish was packed with flavors that reminded us of home-cooked goodness.

As seen in our group photo, wala kaming tinira! Everything was langhap-sarap and worth every bite. If you’re planning a food trip in Iloilo and wondering where to eat in Iloilo, Ramboy’s is a must-try! Whether you’re a local or a tourist, this place will satisfy your cravings for authentic Filipino flavors.
